With over 20 years of experience creating thoughtful, custom homes, this firm is known for design excellence, close client collaboration, and a deep respect for the land and its natural surroundings.
About the Role
This is a hands-on, design-driven position for a seasoned professional who thrives in the creative process—from early concept sketches to move-in day. The Senior Designer will work closely with the project architect and firm principal to guide projects through every phase, ensuring both design integrity and exceptional execution.
A strong understanding of conceptual architectural design for high-end residential projects is essential, and hand sketching is a must.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading conceptual design efforts and supporting overall design direction
- Reading and interpreting architectural drawings and construction documents
- Selecting architectural materials, finishes, and interior architectural details
- Preparing and presenting conceptual design presentations and storyboards
- Collaborating with in-house 3D rendering and graphic design teams
- Managing samples, reviewing shop drawings, and approving submittals
- Supporting budget preparation and project coordination
- Conducting regular site visits to ensure quality and alignment with design intent
- Coordinating with vendors, consultants, and internal teams throughout design and construction
What They’re Looking For
- 8+ years of professional experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field
- Exceptional hand-sketching and visual communication skills
- Strong client-facing presentation experience
- Advanced organizational, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Comfort working independently and collaboratively
