Featured Job: Design Manager in San Francisco, CA
Job Description
A brand new and exciting retail/restaurant/technology start-up has a current need for a Design Manager to join their San Francisco team. The company has a team of investors behind it and is projected to grow 1500% in the next 2 years. This role will be busy as the team is new and growth is huge. This position will have many responsibilities involved with launching a new food concept. This role will be managing the design process for new locations as well as partner with consultants and vendors to develop new locations. Are you the right person to help lead this growth?
Required Work Experience:
- Architect or interior designer with solid technical/production experience
- Intermediate to senior level experience in driving design direction through for project
- Experience working with complex projects including details, buildings and construction systems
- Familiar working with leading concepts and creating/working with national brands
- Collaboration and directional experience with engineers, vendors, suppliers and clients
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Graduate of architecture or design school: equivalent experience may be substituted
- 4-10 years’ experience in hospitality or retail. Particularly interested in seeing candidates with experience with complex retail concepts
- Knowledge of design principles, aesthetics and space planning methodology
- Strong technical skills including production and technical documentation
