The CAD/BIM Manager will literally be the structure behind the design. The right candidate will own all the CAD/BIM aspects for this firm. Being a trainer, teacher, learner, manager, and doer, this role will report to the Senior Leadership and work across the entire firm. They will be responsible for all aspects of CAD management for the office with minimal direction and oversight.

Required Work Experience:

  • Review, analyze, and implement use of CAD/BIM programs, along with current custom programming, to promote efficient production in the delivery of interior design drawings, including oversight, maintenance of overall problem solving
  • Oversight of transition, in coordination with implementation consultant, from CAD to Revit, and support use of best-practices in the production and delivery of interior design drawings
  • Proven success in identify and prioritize problems related to software and plotting as they occur to help maintain production schedules
  • Develop and maintain office CAD/BIM standards that increase efficiency and accuracy
  • Responsible for cooperating with IT Consultants in maintenance, purchasing, and updating of server, network, and CAD/BIM workstation hardware
  • Research the industry and advise PMs of trends and new technologies available to improve CAD/BIM production efficiency and keep pace with competitor
  • Periodic attendance at local CAD/BIM User Group meetings, management training session, and in-house training of staff on CAD/BIM Standards and Productivity tools

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Minimum of 4 years experience with CAD/BIM management
  • Must be sufficiently experienced in interior design or architectural field to be a productive member of the drafting staff when CAD/BIM Management duties are not required
  • Degree in architecture, interior design, or related field
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Ability to mentor and direct staff
  • Must be positive, team-oriented, flexible, and productive
  • Familiarity with 3D software such as Sketchup and 3D Max
