Help Build Relationships Across the Architecture & Design Industry

We’re opening a rare Director of Business Development role with our firm. DBI does not hire often, so we are looking for a long-term partner to join our firm. We’re looking for a highly motivated, organized, and ambitious talent to help drive our next phase of growth.

This isn’t your typical Director position. You’ll play a critical role in identifying prospective clients, developing strategic outreach campaigns, researching markets, organizing business intelligence, and creating opportunities for our Business Development and Recruiting teams. If you’re energized by research, relationship-building, technology, creating systems that drive results, and the design industry, we’d love to meet you.

What You’ll Do

  • Business Development & Outreach
  • Identify and research target firms and decision-makers
  • Build strategic prospect lists for outreach campaigns
  • Execute email, LinkedIn, and outbound communication campaigns
  • Schedule meetings and business development calls for senior team members
  • Support client acquisition efforts across North America and international markets
  • Market Intelligence
  • Track industry trends, firm growth, leadership changes, hiring activity, and market opportunities
  • Research architecture, interior design, and product sales organizations
  • Deliver actionable market insights that support business development initiatives
  • CRM & Process Management
  •  Maintain and improve data quality within our CRM (Crelate)
  • Organize prospect and client information for maximum effectiveness
  • Track outreach activity and campaign performance
  • Develop processes that improve efficiency and scalability
  • Innovation & Technology
  • Research emerging tools and technologies that can improve sales and business development efforts
  • Recommend automation and workflow improvements
  • Support ongoing process optimization initiatives

What We’re Looking For

  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong proficiency with technology, CRM systems, and digital tools
  • Someone self-driven with proven success working 100% remote
  • Experience in architecture, interior design, recruiting, staffing, consulting, or professional services is a plus—but not required.
