QC Coordinator
Las Vegas, NV, United States
Architectural / Design Document Quality Control
Build quality into exceptional residential projects. This role sits at the intersection of design, documentation, consultant coordination, and construction administration – giving you direct influence over how high-design work moves from concept to built reality.
Why This Role Stands Out
Broad project visibility
Work across multiple projects and coordinate with design managers, job captains, engineering and specialty consultants, construction superintendents, estimating, purchasing, project management, and construction administration.
Meaningful design impact
Help identify coordination gaps, improve drawing accuracy, and solve constructability issues early – reducing rework, delays, and cost impacts during construction.
A strong learning environment
The team emphasizes hands-on learning, weekly one-on-one interaction with managers, and close collaboration across levels of the organization.
Exposure from design through construction
Support work from schematic design and design development through construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, field bulletins, constructability reviews, and milestone field visits.
High-design residential experience
Join a fast-paced environment focused on custom residential work, where project teams have opportunities to influence design through production.
Technical growth
Strengthen your experience with Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Bluebeam, BIM coordination, clash detection, consultant drawing review, code compliance, and document quality control.
The Opportunity
As Quality Control Coordinator, you will be part of the QA/QC team and report to the Quality Control Manager. You will support the delivery of high-quality design and construction documents while helping coordinate consultant time, contracts, and fees. A major focus of the role is construction administration, particularly RFIs and submittals, along with internal SketchUp-to-BIM workflow coordination, model clash detection, and consultant drawing coordination.
What You Will Do
- Coordinate workflows tied to drawings, specifications, and other design/construction deliverables across multiple active projects.
- Assist with clash detection and help resolve conflicts between architectural, structural, and MEP systems.
- Review consultant drawings for consistency across disciplines and flag discrepancies or design gaps.
- Serve as a design-compliance resource during construction and support constructability reviews with internal teams and contractors.
- Help Project Design Managers and Job Captains keep RFIs, field bulletins, and submittals moving with timely, complete responses.
- Participate in milestone field visits with the Construction QA/QC team to observe progress and verify alignment with design intent and project requirements.
- Identify recurring issues and communicate coordinated solutions that improve accuracy and reduce rework.
- Provide AutoCAD/Revit drawing-production and document-preparation support as needed.
- Provide guidance on code compliance and constructability issues throughout design, including Schematic Design and Design Development.
What You Bring
- Minimum 4 years of residential or hospitality architectural experience within an architecture firm or hands-on homebuilding/construction organization.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture preferred.
- Working knowledge of Revit, CAD, SketchUp, and Bluebeam as applied to architectural/engineering drawings.
- Working proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong design, graphic, presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of construction processes, terminology, applicable building and municipal codes, construction costs, and value-engineering concepts.
- Ability to independently manage assignments from initiation through completion.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects, meet deadlines, and stay accurate and thorough in a fast-paced environment.
- A self-directed, flexible mindset, curiosity, and an eagerness to learn.
