Project Architect

DBI’s long-time client, based in the Phoenix area, has retained the firm to find an experienced Healthcare Project Architect. This position will be working on large-scale projects, offering full support to the project team. Involvement will be from concept design and end with the CA phase.
Responsibilities:
- Lead team efforts, targeting effective execution of project design and construction documents, permitting and construction, QA/QC, and Construction Administration
- Communicate with Project Manager, and project consultants during all project phases
- Communicate and coordinate with project consultants
- Partner on oversight of budgeting, contract agreements, staffing, project hours, and project metrics
- Research and specify products and materials relating to the project
- Work closely with healthcare planning as well as the principal-in-charge
- Overall responsibility for the quality, accuracy, and client satisfaction
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Architecture with 3-5 years experience leading projects
- Professional registration, Arizona preferred
- Experience with healthcare projects a must
- Must know about architectural systems, components, assemblies, and solutions as well as construction codes and compliances
- Proficient in Revit, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project) and Bluebeam
- Ability to multi-task, lead team members, and manage consultants
- Ability to stay composed and professional, being seen as a solid team member
- Must be a self-motivator with a proven ability to work independently
