The opportunity
As a Designer, you will develop and champion design concepts for highly technical residential projects. You will collaborate in fast-paced, studio-style project teams through key early design phases, primarily from programming through schematic design. The role blends conceptual thinking with digital modeling, documentation, presentation, and project coordination.
This role is especially well suited to a designer who is self-directed, adaptable, eager to learn, and excited by high-design residential work. You should be comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment while staying connected to the broader design vision.
What you will do
- Champion and help advance the project design vision developed by the project team.
- Deliver high-quality schematic design work on schedule and within project expectations.
- Develop cohesive design intent and prepare schematic design client sign-off documentation.
- Create and manage 3D models, drawings, and related design documentation.
- Contribute to floor planning, digital massing, interior architecture, and conceptual site design.
- Assist with design presentations for clients and other audiences.
- Collaborate professionally with internal stakeholders throughout the design process.
- Provide design-related construction feedback during QA/QC walks.
- Review 50% Design Development and 50% Construction Document sets.
- Work flexibly across multiple projects and adapt as priorities and pace change.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field, plus at least 2 years of relevant experience in a professional design firm; additional relevant experience may be considered in place of the education requirement.
- A portfolio that demonstrates strong design thinking, innovative solutions, and a willingness to push boundaries.
- Advanced proficiency in Trimble SketchUp.
- Basic proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD; stronger proficiency is preferred.
- Basic proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong collaboration skills, design curiosity, and the ability to be self-directed in a fast-paced environment.
Interest in residential architecture and high-design custom work.

Interview note
